Things to Know About Lorry/Truck Shipping - Road Logistics
- Lower Costs – Freight charges are generally much cheaper than conventional courier services.
- No Door Delivery – Most transporters deliver only to their warehouse; you or your representative will need to pick up the parcel.
- Possible Extra Fees – Nominal charges may apply for in-warehouse shifting or storage.
- Payment - The final shipping cost will be shared to you at the Road Logistics Delivery Office. The total amount has to be directly paid to them to collect the parcel.
- ID Proof Required – A photocopy of your ID (matching the name on the invoice/bill) or a company seal is usually needed to release the shipment.
- Self-Tracking Needed – You may have to follow up directly with the transporter for updates.
- Variable Delivery Time – Typically, shipments arrive within 5–15 days, but timing can vary based on the transporter and route.
Shipping via Courier vs. Lorry/Truck Services
Courier shipping offers the convenience of doorstep delivery—but it can also come with a steep price tag. In some cases, paying a high transport fee simply isn’t worth it.
That’s why we also work with multiple Lorry and Truck service providers. We don’t endorse any single company, but some of the well-known names include VRL Logistics, Sharma Transport, and Orange Transport.
